EASTER SUNDAY MESSAGE:THE MESSIAH (THE KING) LEADS, HIS NATION FOLLOWS

Messiah is undoubtedly the undisputed Champion, the King of the Jews. Whether they like it or not, and whether they are aware of it or not, He leads and His people the Jews, follow. What do I mean by that?

It’s a mystery. Two thousand years ago He was vilified, ostracized, made an outcast, rejected, treated like a leper, a pariah, falsely accused, mocked and dehumanized. Now ask yourself this. How have the Jews been treated in the past two thousand years? Jews have been scattered all over the world since ancient times. They have been rejected, treated like pariahs, falsely accused, mocked and dehumanized.

Jesus was crucified and on the third day He was resurrected from the dead. The Jews went through a form of crucifixion in the “Holocaust” of the Nazis. The nation died (6 million Jews exterminated) but in 1948 it was resurrected back to life. The Nation of Israel was resurrected, reborn according to the Ezekiel prophecy of the dry bones coming back to life. Not many people have seen this pattern. But it is true none the less. You see, many Jews don’t even notice that as a nation, they have followed the footsteps of their king, yet their ignorance does not change the reality manifested by their actions. How much more must you and I, as Christians who bear His name, follow His steps. As we celebrate Easter Sunday, let’s make it a priority to be conformed to the image of our King. 1 Peter 2: 21 “For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps.” Make a decision that going forward you will imitate Him, be inspired by Him model your life around His, think, talk and conduct yourself in the likeness of Christ for He is THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.

Amen! The same power that raised Jesus from the dead now dwells within me, resurrecting everything that was dead in my life, and giving life to my mortal body (Romans 8:11).
